Nordic Cap of Sweden NP14

Hello everyone!

Today I have got another nail polish to swatch and review for you guys. I was so excited to try this color since it's quite new to me, along with some other polishes I mentioned in my last blogpost. Argh, I really wish these nail polishes had names. I feel like you can refer to a names better than a number.

Anyways, it's from Nordic Cap of Sweden and it's in NP14. It's a salmon pink shade with iridescent silver shimmer through it. If you look at the pictures I took, it comes across as a simple light pink, although it really isn't. More about my thoughts on the formula and application after the pictures.

In these photos I'm wearing 3 coats. Personally, I think the formula of this nail polish was terrible.
It was extremely thick and I did struggle a lot with this. It went on very sheer, patchy and uneven.
Sad thing is that I recently purchased this, and I don't think a nail polish should have such a thick consistency at it's first week. The color itself is not too unique, and I don't think it's different enough to be worth the hassle.

Overall I'm quite disappointed with this, but I guess you should not complain when it's so cheap.
 My Rating: 2/5 stars

Hope you will have a great day! Lots of love /Julia

Nail Polish Shopping

Hey everyone!
So the other day I went to the grocery store, and guess what, they were selling nail polish and makeup!
WOOHOOO! :D The products were very inexpensive and I have tried the brand in the past so I knew they were pretty good quality as well. The brand that I'm talking about is called Nordic Cap of Sweden. What made me excited was the fact that they have come out with several new nail polish colors. I've honestly been waiting for this brand to come out with new goodies for almost a year, so this literally made my day! :)

If you live in Sweden like I do, then these products will be very easy to find. You can find them at most grocery stores like ICA, Willy's, Coop, Rusta etc. Unfortunately I haven't found a website to order them online, but if I do I will update this blogpost and tell you more about it.

Here are the shades that I picked up: (FYI: These nail polishes don't have any names, so I will just be listing the numbers and describe each color more in depth)

NP13: Creamy white
NP06: Salmon pink with iridescent silver glitter particles

NP16: Creamy corally red
NP25: Gold shimmer

NP21: Bright sky blue
NP22: Navy blue jelly

NP20: Creamy teal
NP26: Shimmery gunmetal grey

Overall I'm very excited and happy to have added these gorgeous colors to my collection. I'm looking forward to test these out and hopefully I will end up with a big smile on my face, haha. Anyways, stay tuned for swatches and reviews of these beauties! :)

Hope you will have an amazing day! Lots of love /Julia

Essie Mint Candy Apple

Hello lovelies! :)
Today I was in the mood of painting my nails, so I picked out this gorgeous pastel green by Essie called Mint Candy Apple. I received it for my birthday which was in April, so it has truly been laying in a drawer for months, until today. I really don't understand why I haven't picked this up earlier, it's a true beauty. Even though this color was released in the winter, I think it's great to wear all year round, but especially in the warmer months. Personally I would consider this as quite unique, or at least in my collection. The rest of the mint greens that I own are way more blue than this little guy, which is a nice spin on things.

In my opinion it's a perfect mint green nail polish. It's not too green or too blue, it's just perfection.
More about the formula and application after the pictures.

I was pleasently surprised by the formula. It went on so creamy without any streaks or patchiness, which is obviously a huge plus. In these photos I'm wearing two coats, which I think is pretty good for a pastel. To be quite honest, in the beginning I expected it to be very sheer and streaky, but I'm glad it wasn't. I guess because of a few reviews I have read in the past where some have struggled with the formula, but personally I didn't. Drying time was fast and it dried with a flawless glossy finish.

Overall I absolutely love this nail polish and I can definitely see myself wearing this a multiple times in the future. I don't have any complaints about this and with no doubt I'll give it 5/5 stars.

I definitely recommend it, but a downside is that this particular shade is basically most of the time sold out. So keep your eyes out for this beauty and snag it up when you can!

OPI Strawberry Margarita

Hello and good evening!

Today I decided to paint my nails in a hot pink shade, so I went for OPI's Strawberry Margarita.
It's a standard creamy hot pink with blue undertones. This might not be the most unique color out there but I think this is a perfect go to pink. It was released in OPI's Mexico Collection 2006, but it has now took part in OPI's Classics line.

I love it and I find myself reaching for this color whenever I'm not sure what to paint my nails. It's like summer in a bottle, haha! For me it's definitely a must have. I love the name of it as well, I mean, doesn't strawberry margarita sound tempting?

Anyways, more about the formula and application after the pictures.

                                                     OPI Strawberry Margarita, 2 coats

One of the things I love the most about this nail polish, and in general with OPI's nail products, is the formula. This went on so smoothly and it gave a high shine. It was opaque in two coats. I did not have any issues with streakiness or it being uneven. I have worn it plenty of times in the past and I think that it does last quite a while on the nails. I find that it starts to chip after a few days, but I usually manage to wear this for a week without any problems, which is pretty good for a nail polish.

Overall I would give this a 4/5 stars

♡Isadora Baby Blue♡

This is the nail polish I'm wearing today, and you might recognize it from my previous blog post.

This is Isadora's Baby Blue!

The name of the polish is pretty explanatory, it's basically just a baby blue. It is a creme, which means that there are no glitter particles or shimmer in there. I think pastels like this are so pretty. It is not the most unique shade, so many people might skip this for that reason. I do think that if you already have a color that is similar to this, you really don't need both. But as you know I kind of have an obsession with nail polishes so one is never enough, haha!

The formula of the nail polish was lovely. It went on like a dream and was fully opaque in two coats. I think I could have possibly gone with one coat if I wasn't so rushed with the application in the beginning. Isadora has a very wide brush, almost wider than OPI's. Many people find it very annoying, but personally it does not bother me too much.

In general, Isadora polishes do tend to last a long time on me. I could go a week with very minimal chipping. I would definitely recommend to check out their products if you get the chance to.

I would give this nail polish a 4/5 stars!

♡Nail Polish Sale Haul♡

Hello! How are you guys?

I'm sorry that I have not posted in a while, but I'm going to try to do better by at least three blog posts every week.

Today I'm here with a nail polish haul!

My local beauty supply has had many sales recently, and I saw some pretty nail polishes so I decided to  purchase some. A few Essie polishes were also on sale at H&M, and obviously I could not resist.

This is what I got at my beauty supply, some gorgeous pastels! They are probably not the most unique colors out there, but since I have always had a thing for pastels I felt like I had to add them to my collection. I do for sure have dozens of baby blues and pinks, but for a nail polish addict like me, it's like you can never have enough, haha. Enough about me and my obsession, here are the colors I bought due the sales.

From left: Isadora Bardot Pink, Isadora Taffeta Creamy Pink, Isadora Baby Blue

"Bardot Pink" is a creamy pinkish lilac. It is fully opaque in two coats.

"Taffeta Creamy Pink" is a peachy pink shade. It's gorgeous, but unfortunately it could sometimes be quite streaky and uneven. I had to apply 3-4 coats to make it look nice, otherwise it's a great polish.

"Baby Blue" is a creamy baby blue. The formula is amazing and it covered in two coats.

♡ Next is the nail polish I bought at H&M :)

It's Essie's Mademoiselle

It's a sheer ballerina pink. I think this is perfect for french manicures. I got it because I have been wanting it since 2 years back, and I thought it would be great to get it now since it was 75% off. I think it was an amazing deal considering Essie polishes are usually quite expensive, or at least here in Sweden. I'm very excited to use it and I will let you know how I get along with it.

So this is what I got during these sales I will write a blog post about Isadora's Baby Blue, since it's what I'm wearing on my nails for the moment. Stay tuned

Have a good day everyone!

Nordic Cap of Sweden NP06

Hello y'all!
Today i decided to paint my nails in a nude color. I haven't done a nude for a while, so I decided to give it a go. The color I chose today is NP06 (Number6) by Nordic Cap of Sweden. My local grocery stores sells these nail polishes (also some makeup) for a very inexpensive price. I am planning to go back and get a few more bottles.

This is a pretty nude with a kiss of pink in it. The polish has silver glitter flecks in there which does not transfer as dramatic as in the bottle, but it is still visible on the nail. In this picture I am wearing 2 coats of polish, i think that this color might need a third coat though.

The consistency of the polish is pretty thick, but it does not make it difficult to paint with. One of the best things about their polishes is the brush, I really enjoy painting with it, it is lovely!

I wore this nude for about 2 months ago, at that moment unfortunately my nail polish chipped very fast, I hope this manicure will give me a more positive experience of the way it lasts.

Overall I would give it a 3/5 stars

Hope you have an amazing day!
